Deep in a bunker in an undisclosed location, Alex Ridley has already put forth his plans to take over the world. Reconnaissance missions disguised as DJ gigs, spanning well over a decade, would see Alex set up techno outposts across the nation. This includes Vancouver, Saskatoon, Regina, Brandon, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, the Manitoba Electronic Music Exhibition (2010 – 2015), Connect Music Festival (2009 & 2011), Brainfest (2008 & 2009), Shambhala Music Festival (2012), Phantasm Festival (2016), Testfest (2013 & 2016) and of course countless gigs in Winnipeg.
Alex Ridley works non-stop in his space ship creating original works and remixes to push the Canadian techno sound forward. His efforts eventually received notice from North American techno label-bosses Woody McBride and Lori J Ward (aka Lori The HIFI Princess). This has earned him spots on their record labels Communique Records and Flavorite Music. Soon after another North American techno staple, Angel Alanis, remixed one of Alex’s tracks and introduced him to Transplant Recordings. This got Alex remix and networking support from Dave Ruff, Tyler Trigger, SVAST and Luke Fire from the US, and Deetech from Spain.
The diabolical schemes continue to flourish as Alex Ridley and Dave Ruff have teamed up for form their very own Re: Define Records.
